Pay for the judgment. The list is the easy part.

Anyone can sell you a feed of public notices. What costs you money is reading them, working out which ones you could win, and writing the response. That is what you are buying here, and there are only two numbers to it.

Not sure yet? Twenty minutes on a call and you will see what is open right now for a business like yours, and you will know whether it is worth chasing. No obligation either way.

Lock in your rate for the next year

The annual plan settles twelve months at today's number. $9,000 instead of the $12,000 the same year costs a month at a time, with two written responses included.

See the 12 month plan

What it costs

One monthly number, and three ways to pay it.

Same service on all three. Public buying runs on a calendar rather than on demand, most of what you want renews annually, and the contracts you want are open for weeks rather than months, so the longer you are in the more of your own cycle you actually see. If you are not sure, take the monthly and move up when you have seen the volume.

Every plan covers one company, in the trades and regions you serve. Payment opens in a new tab on Stripe, so we never see or store your card number. Written responses beyond those included are $500 each, and no single response ever costs more than $3,000. What the writing covers.

What you actually get

Built around your company, not a feed everyone else gets.

Matched to what you sell

We start by learning your trades, your regions, your licensing and bonding, and the size of job you can absorb. Nothing reaches you that you could not actually deliver.

A verdict, not a list

Every opportunity arrives with a written reason to bid it or skip it, naming the requirement that decides it. Most of what we read, we tell you to leave.

Weekly, in your inbox

One email a week with what is open, what closes soon, and what we think is worth your time. Nothing to log into and nothing to monitor. If it is a quiet week, we say so.

Disqualifiers called early

If a bond, a certification or a past-performance requirement rules you out, you hear it while there is still time to do something about it, not the day before it closes.

The response written for you

The compliance matrix, the narrative, the forms, the references and the formatting, built to how that buyer scores it. Written from your own past work, and never reused for anyone else.

You price it. You sign it.

We prepare the submission and lodge it on your instruction. Every certification in a public bid is yours to make, so the price and the signature stay with you.

The time this gives you back is the point. A single solicitation takes about thirty hours to read, qualify and answer properly. That is most of a working week, spent before you know whether the job was ever worth chasing.

The writing

$500 a response, and only because the hard part is already done.

A proposal shop charges between $3,000 and $15,000 to write one response, and they are not overcharging. Most of that cost is someone reading a ninety page solicitation cold and working out what it actually asks for.

On the monthly service, that reading has already happened. It happened when we graded the opportunity, which is why the number is what it is.

How far we take it is your call. Plenty of companies want the first draft and nothing more, because their own people know the work better than anyone and just needed the blank page filled. Others send it back with edits until it is ready to sign. Both are normal, and you do not have to decide which you are before you start.

What written work costs
What you are asking forCost
First draft of a response$500
Another pass on it, after your edits$500
Another response, same month$500 each
Any one response, however many passes it takes$3,000 at most
We run your whole bidding calendarQuoted on the call

Written work is for companies on the monthly service. Every response is built from your own references, approach and pricing, and is never reused for anyone else.

Why there is a ceiling. A revision counts as a response, so it is fair to ask whether we are just going to keep billing you for passes. We are not, and the $3,000 is how we prove it: that is six passes at $500, it is the most any single response can ever cost you, and it holds however long the document takes after that. It is also, and not by accident, the number a proposal shop quotes for its cheapest job. We would not advise getting near it either. A response on its sixth pass usually had something wrong with it before the writing started, and we would rather tell you that than invoice around it. So gather your edits and send them in one go instead of three. That costs you less and makes for a better document. If they arrive in threes anyway, our process absorbs it and the ceiling still holds.

You sign it, always. We prepare the submission and lodge it on your instruction. Every certification in a public bid is yours to make, so the signature has to be yours.

How this compares

There are four other ways to do this. Here is what they cost.

These are published rates, and we have written up each category in our guides with the sources. We are not the cheapest way to see bids. We are the cheapest way to see only the ones worth your time.

How the ways of bidding public work compare
How you could do this Finds the work Tells you which to bid Writes the response Costs you no staff time Typical cost
Bid alert services Yes No No No $100 to $250 a month
Enterprise bid intelligence Yes No No No $13,000 to $119,000 a year
A proposal writing firm No No Yes Only with your own people doing it $3,000 to $15,000 per response
Hiring a bid writer Only with your own people doing it Only with your own people doing it Yes No A salary, plus benefits

Good Stuart Yes Yes Yes Yes From $750 a month, $500 a response

Typical published rates as of 2026. Figures come from our own guides on bid tools and services, which cite their sources. A dot means yes, but only because someone at your company is doing it.

The gap is the middle two columns. Plenty of services will send you everything, and plenty will write a document once you have chosen it. Deciding which ones are worth your time is the part nobody sells, and it is the part that decides whether any of the rest was worth paying for.

Worth saying plainly

What this does not buy.

  • It does not buy a win. Nobody can sell you that, and anyone who offers to is telling you something untrue.
  • It does not replace your pricing. You price the work, because only you know what you can deliver it for.
  • It does not make you eligible. If you are not bonded or licensed for something, we will tell you, but we cannot fix it.
  • It is not a feed you have to sit and monitor. If there is nothing worth your time this month, you will hear that instead.

If the volume is not there for your business, we would rather tell you on a call than take your money. That is what the twenty minutes is for, and it is still there if you want it.

Before you buy

What people ask before they buy.

What if there is not much open in my trades and regions?

Book twenty minutes before you pay and we will show you what is open right now for a business like yours. If the volume does not justify the cost, we will tell you that on the call. We would rather say it than take money for a quiet market.

What happens in the first week?

We build your profile: your trades, your regions, your licensing and bonding, your certifications and references, and the size of job you can absorb. Your first weekly email follows, with what is open, what closes soon, and a written verdict on each one.

What counts as one response?

One solicitation, answered in full: the compliance matrix, the narrative, the forms, the references and the formatting, built to how that buyer scores it. A revision counts as a response, which is exactly why there is a ceiling. No single response ever costs you more than $3,000, however many passes it takes, and that ceiling is six passes.

Can I buy more responses than my plan includes?

Yes, at $500 each, on any plan, whenever you want one. The responses included with the 6 and 12 month plans come off the top of each term, so on the 12 month plan the first two in every year cost you nothing.

Who prices the bid and who signs it?

You do, both. We prepare the submission and lodge it on your instruction. Every certification in a public bid is a statement about your company, so it stays yours to make. We never sign anything on your behalf.

Do you work with other companies in my trade?

Sometimes. What never happens is the same response going out twice. Every one is written from your own past work, your own references and your own numbers, and no client ever sees another client’s matches or profile.

What happens at the end of a 6 or 12 month plan?

It renews for another term at the same price, and we talk before it does. The 6 month plan bills every 6 months and the 12 month plan every 12, so there is no gap between terms and no new rate to settle. All three plans are subscriptions and run until you tell us to stop, so say the word before a term ends if you want to change plan or finish.
