Government bids, done for you

Only the ones worth winning.

Every week a school district, a town or a county puts work like yours out to bid. We read every one, tell you which are worth winning, and write the response. You price it and you sign it.

Twenty minutes. You'll see what's open right now for a business like yours, and you'll know whether it's worth chasing. No obligation either way. Not for you? It's all good.

Stuart, the Good Stuart character, reading through a stack of bid documents
1,531 Government bids read in full, for our own companies first
342 Responses written and submitted, with our own money on the line
90,837 Schools, towns and agencies across the US that buy this way

The problem

Bidding is a full-time job, and nobody at your company has it.

So the good ones reach you from a customer, a week after they closed. You catch one in time, open it, and find on page 61 that it needed a certification you don't hold. The one you could win gets written at 11pm, twice a year, on whatever happened to land in the inbox.

This is what it looks like when someone else does that job.

Custodial services Illinois Good fit

Community college, three campuses: custodial and grounds

Estimated $520,000 to $680,000 a year · Closes in under two weeks · 2 documents

Why it’s worth winning

Biggest thing on your board this month, and the scope suits you. Custodial-only shops can't self-perform grounds, so they'll subcontract it and it'll show in their number. BEP participation is required; name your certified partner and you've covered it.

Where this came from

Our own companies were the first clients.

Before it was offered to anyone, this was the team we couldn’t hire for our own businesses. Three of them, in unrelated trades, all selling to schools, towns and agencies.

So we built it ourselves. Nothing missed, every bid read in full, every response written properly, and a debrief requested on every loss. By the time we opened it up to other companies it had read more than 1,500 bids and submitted more than 300 responses. Our own bids, our own money on the line.

Same team, same method, now working for you.

Done for you by Stuart and his team. You hear from us when something is worth your time.

  1. 1 We learn your business Licenses, bonding, references and the size of work you can take on.
  2. 2 We find what's out there for you Every day, across the schools, towns and agencies that buy what you sell.
  3. 3 We give every one a verdict Worth winning or not worth your time, with the reason written down.
  4. 4 We write the response Built from your own references and approach, and never reused.
  5. 5 You price it, sign it and submit The number and the signature are always yours. We track it to award.

You set the price and you sign it. Everything before that is ours. See our process in full.

Industries we cover

If government buys it, it goes out to bid.

Examples, not a list of everything. If a public body buys what you sell, we can bid it. Ask about yours on the call.

Every response is written for one company and never reused. Not on the list? Ask on the call.

Before you book

The six questions everyone asks first

Who signs and submits?

You do, always. Every certification and representation in a public bid is yours to make, so you are the signatory on every page that needs one. We prepare the submission, you approve it and sign it, and we submit it when you say so. We never sign anything on your behalf.

Who sets the price?

You do. Pricing is the one part of a bid that genuinely has to come from you. What we do is make it an informed number. We tell you what the current contractor was paid. Where the buyer attached the last award tabulation (its record of every bid received), we tell you what it showed. And we tell you how heavily this particular buyer weights price against everything else.

What if we lose?

We request the debrief: the buyer’s explanation of how the bids were scored. Most public agencies must give you one if you ask, and almost nobody asks. It tells us what the evaluators actually weighted, where the pricing landed and what the winner did differently. That goes straight into the next response. Over a year it becomes a record of how the buyers in your market decide.

How soon is the first bid?

Your profile is built in the first week: licenses, insurance, bonding, certifications, references, the contract sizes you can absorb. From there it depends on your trade and your states. The first qualified match typically turns up within the first month. We would rather wait for one you can win than send you something to keep busy. We will tell you on the call what the volume looks like in your market.

Do you work with our competitors?

Sometimes more than one company in a trade works with us. What never happens is the same proposal going out twice. Every response is built from your business: your references, your approach, your pricing. No client ever sees another client’s matches, documents or profile.

What does it cost?

$1,000 a month to find and read everything that fits, month to month with no setup fee. $500 per written response, and no single response ever costs more than $3,000. It is less than the person you would otherwise have to hire, and if there isn’t enough real work in your trade and states to justify it, we will say so, and you will have lost twenty minutes.
